Events & Event Management

Bringing ideas to life and making things happen

I help develop, organise and manage events, from the initial idea through to making everything happen on the day. Whether you're planning a creative event, putting on a performance, organising a launch or bringing people together around a shared interest, or just need a stage or events manager for your own event, I can help turn your ideas into something real.

I enjoy working on projects that bring people together, creating opportunities for artists and performers, and offering audiences something a little different from the usual. I have previously worked with brands such as Junipurr Jewellery, The Alchemist and Ramada hotels to create unique regular and one off events.

I take a practical, collaborative approach to event management, working with you to understand your ideas, what you want to achieve and what you need help with to make it happen.

What I can help with

Event Planning & Development

Have an idea for an event but aren't sure where to start? Or already have a plan that needs some help getting off the ground?

I can help you develop your ideas, work through the practicalities and put together a plan that works for your event.

This can include:

  • Developing event concepts and ideas

  • Planning and organising

  • Working out what you need and how to make it happen

  • Scheduling and coordinating the different elements

  • Helping bring the right people together

You don't need to have every detail figured out before getting in touch. We can work through the ideas together and establish what support you need.

Artist & Performer Liaison

Working with artists and performers is a big part of my experience. I understand the importance of clear communication, good organisation and making sure everyone knows what's happening and what they need to do.

I can help with:

  • Finding and booking artists or performers

  • Coordinating requirements and schedules

  • Liaising between performers, organisers and venues

  • Helping make sure everyone has the information they need

My experience working within cabaret and alternative creative industries gives me an understanding of the people, communities and practical considerations involved in putting on these kinds of events.

Event Coordination & Management

Organising an event involves a lot of moving parts. I can help manage the practical details, coordinate the people involved and keep things moving so you can focus on the bigger picture.

This can include:

  • Coordinating venues, suppliers and other contributors

  • Managing schedules and event timings

  • Communicating with everyone involved

  • Coordinating performers, artists and other participants

  • Managing the event on the day

  • Helping deal with the unexpected when plans change

Whether you need support with a particular part of an event or someone to help oversee the whole thing, we can discuss what would work best for you.

Event Promotion & Materials

I can also help with the visual and promotional side of your event, bringing together the practical planning and the materials needed to get people interested.

This can include:

  • Event posters and flyers

  • Social media graphics

  • Promotional materials

  • Event information and schedules

  • Coordinating promotional needs with the wider event plan

Having design and visual content experience alongside event management means I can help connect the planning and promotion, rather than treating them as completely separate tasks. I don't offer a fully managed social media service, but I can help you work out how to present what you already have and create visuals to support it. If your project needs a particular specialist support, I can also help you find or recommend someone who is the right fit.

My approach

I like working with people rather than simply working from a brief.

Before starting a project, I'll take the time to understand what you do, who you're trying to reach and what you want people to understand about you.

You might already have a very clear idea of what you want, or you might just know that something isn't working and need some help figuring out why. Either is fine.

I'll work with you to develop the visual direction, explain things without unnecessary design jargon and make sure we're creating something that actually works for you and your business.

My aim isn't to make everything look the same. It's to create something that feels appropriate to you.

Who I work with

I mainly work with independent businesses, artists and creatives, particularly within alternative and creative industries.

I have 10 years' experience working alongside tattooists and piercers and 20 years' experience in alternative events, working with cabaret performers and promoters, local artists, creative projects and independent businesses

I'm always interested in working with people doing something a little different.

Let's talk about your project

You don't need to have a finished brief before getting in touch, I offer a range of design and creative services, there's no need to choose a package before you get in touch.

Send me your ideas, tell me what you're trying to achieve, or even just explain what's currently not working. We can have an initial chat and work out how I might be able to help, we can start with a conversation and work it out from there. As someone who is chronically ill and neurodivergent myself, I know that rigid processes and one-size-fits-all approaches don't always work for everyone. I aim to communicate clearly, be flexible where I can and find a way of working that works for the person and the project. I offer a wide range of services and can adapt the way I work depending on what you need.
