Looking after your tattoo
Clean, Cream, Heal, Repeat

Step 1
When you get home, with clean hands, remove any coverings, if your artists has used second skin, keep it on as per their instructions.

Step 2
Gently wash the area with an antibacterial or plain non scented soap, we recommend Ciadal or Carex. Pat dry with a clean paper towel, try not to wipe or rub.

Step 3
Apply a small amount of aftercare. We recommend Butterluxe balm, this is available to purchase in the studio.

Step 4
Reapply aftercare regularly keeping the area clean, washing morning and night. Do not pick, scratch or allow to dry out

Common issues
Some soreness, swelling and even mild bruising in delicate areas
Scabbing can occur, try not to pick as this can pull the ink out
Some redness is completely normal but if you are concerned please drop us a message
Natural aging of tattoos
Tattoos age over time, as they settle into the skin the ink spreads over time. different areas of the body age differently this is completely normal and something we always take into consideration when designing a tattoo, following our aftercare advice will help keep your tattoo’s looking their best.
Things to avoid- for at least 2-4 weeks or until fully healed
tight clothing on the area
submerging the tattoo in water (ie bath, hot tub, swimming etc)
direct sunlight
going to the gym
Long term tattoo care tips
Good tattoo and skin care can help keep your tattoo looking its best long term. We recommend:
Use sun cream. a high SPF all year round is best.
Regularly exfoliating and moisturising.
